‘Meander’s’ Claustrophobic Trailer Traps You Inside of a Pipe

Published

Meander

The era of games is coming back. I think that Spiral: From the Book of Saw is sort of bringing that back. Meander is very much a pastiche of Saw and Cube and films like them. The trailer introduces those insane bits of claustrophobia and twisted morality… but most importantly it’s giving us the fun and games of death back. I’m very okay with the trend coming back.

The official synopsis for Meander goes like this:

After getting a car ride from an unknown man, Lisa wakes up in a tube. On her arm is strapped a bracelet with a countdown. She quickly understands that every 10 minutes, fire burns an occupied section. She has no choice but to crawl into safe sections to survive. To know why she’s there and how to get out, Lisa will have to face the memories of her dead daughter…

Meander’s trailer looks like a lot of fun. I’m not sure if the bit of body horror coolness that we briefly see at the end of the trailer is a hallucination or if its real, but its very cool looking and I’m looking forward to checking it out.

Meander arrives on VOD and in theaters beginning July 9.

New ‘The Watchers’ Trailer Adds More to the Mystery

Published

on

Although the trailer is almost double its original, there is still nothing we can glean from The Watchers other than a harbinger parrot who loves to say, “Try not to die.” But what do you expect this is a Shyamalan project, Ishana Night Shyamalan to be exact.

She is the daughter of twist-ending prince director M. Night Shyamalan who also has a movie coming out this year. And just like her father, Ishana is keeping everything mysterious in her movie trailer.

“You can’t see them, but they see everything,” is the tagline for this movie.

They tell us in the synopsis: “The film follows Mina, a 28-year-old artist, who gets stranded in an expansive, untouched forest in western Ireland. When Mina finds shelter, she unknowingly becomes trapped alongside three strangers who are watched and stalked by mysterious creatures each night.”

The Watchers opens theatrically on June 7.

Published

on

For those who were wondering when Founders Day was going to make it to digital, your prayers have been answered: May 7.

Ever since the pandemic, movies have quickly been made available on digital weeks after their theatrical release. For instance, Dune 2 hit the cinema on March 1 and hit home viewing on April 16.

So what happened to Founders Day? It was a January baby but hasn’t been available to rent on digital until now. Not to worry, JoBlo via Coming Soon reports that the elusive slasher is heading to your digital rental queue early next month.

“A small town is shaken by a series of ominous killings in the days leading up to a heated mayoral election.”

Although the film isn’t considered a critical success, it still has some nice kills and surprises. The film was shot in New Milford , Connecticut back in 2022 and falls under the Dark Sky Films horror banner.

It stars Naomi Grace , Devin Druid , William Russ , Amy Hargreaves , Catherine Curtin , Emilia McCarthy and Olivia Nikkanen

New F-Bomb Laden ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Trailer: Bloody Buddy Movie

Published

on

Deadpool & Wolverine might be the buddy movie of the decade. The two heterodox superheroes are back in the latest trailer for the summer blockbuster, this time with more f-bombs than a gangster film.

‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Movie Trailer

This time the focus is on Wolverine played by Hugh Jackman. The adamantium-infused X-Man is having a bit of a pity party when Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) arrives on the scene who then tries to convince him to team up for selfish reasons. The result is a profanity-filled trailer with a Strange surprise at the end.

Deadpool & Wolverine is one of the most anticipated movies of the year. It comes out on July 26. Here is the latest trailer, and we suggest if you are at work and your space isn’t private, you might want to put in headphones.
