Spectrevision and Legion M the duo behind Mandy are partnering to bring us Archenemy, ‘a gritty, hard-edged epic’. One that turns everything we know about superheroes on its head.

The film stars Joe Manganiello (True Blood), Glenn Howerton (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) and Amy Seimetz (Pet Sematary).

Archenemy is from a story and screenplay by Adam Egypt Mortimer, director of Daniel isn’t Real and Some Kind of Hate.

Archenemy chronicles the story of Max Fist, a misfit who claims to be a hero from another dimension that fell through time and space to Earth, where he has no powers. No one believes his stories except for a local teen named Hamster. Together, they take to the streets to wipe out the local drug syndicate and its vicious crime boss known as The Manager.

Anything from the team behind Mandy is exciting on its own. However, Mortimer’s Daniel Isn’t Real is easily landing in my top three for the year, and is seriously so cool your eyes are gonna bleed. Knowing that he is a moving force behind Archenemy is next level exhilaration.

Excited to see another film behind the folks who brought us Mandy? Let us know in the comments section.

Also, make sure to check out Mortimer’s Daniel Isn’t Real starting in select theaters Dec. 6 and on Shudder in 2020. It’s truly outstanding and one you don’t want to miss.
