If horror movies have taught us anything it’s that Jason Voorhees only attacks when the 13th of any given month happens to fall on a Friday. Unfortunately, masked maniacs are roaming around the real world on a daily basis, making real life more frightening than any horror movie.
The Manchester Evening News reports that a 40-year-old man in Thyme Close, London is recovering from several deep lacerations to his head, the result of a brutal machete attack carried out earlier this month. The unsuspecting victim was attacked by three men on his own doorstep, and no motive has yet been made public.
The three men knocked on the man’s door and forced their way inside when he opened up, and the most chilling detail is that one of the attackers was wearing a Jason Voorhees mask. Detective Constable Chris Clarke described it as a Jason X-style mask, which is of course the sequel where Jason was sent off to space.
Thankfully the man was able to fend off the attackers and walk away with his life. The three assailants quickly fled the scene in a silver car, and they’re being described as two white men and one of mixed race, all of slim build, ranging from 5ft 5in to 6ft in height.
