Rob Zombie often works with actors he’s worked with on previous films, and with the first bit of casting news for his new film 31, the trend continues. The director announced on Instagram today that Torsten Voges, who played Count Gorgann (the black metal guy) in Lords of Salem, will play the role of Death-Head in the new film.

His other credits include 8mm, Funny People, and The Big Lebowski (he was one of the nihilists).

Death-Head has been described as one of the most vicious and bloodthirsty residents of Murder World, the venue in which 31 is to play out. The plot is described as five random people being kidnapped on the five days leading up to Halloween and held hostage in a place called Murder World. “While trapped inside this man-made Hell they must fight to survive playing the most violent game known to man… a game called 31,” it goes.

Zombie, who has been doing some location scouting of late, put out this video earlier this week:

Earlier this month, he released some new clown art from the film.

If you missed out on being part of 31 you now have a second chance! #robzombie #rz31
