To date, only two figures have been released as part of NECA’s retro-inspired toy line, which kicked off last year when Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees were given the 70s-style treatment (read our review). But those two toys are only the beginning, as several familiar faces are soon set to join them on the toy shelf.
This summer, Friday the 13th: Part 2 Jason and Part 5‘s Roy Burns join the line, along with two different figures of Evil Dead‘s Ash – in both human and ‘Deadite’ form. And then there’s the Dream Child ‘Super Freddy’ figure, a Comic Con Exclusive, which will be followed up by the release of Scream‘s Ghostface.
Just announced this past weekend, the latest additions to the line are Leatherface and the iconic Misfits mascot known as ‘The Fiend.’ Leatherface includes his trusty mallet, which was the first weapon we ever saw him wield, while The Fiend will be available in both red and black outfits. Both figures measure approximately 8″ tall, and feature period-authentic fabric clothing.
The three latest additions to the retro line should be arriving at retailers in time for Halloween.
