Madison Bailey (Outer Banks) and Antonia Gentry (Ginny & Georgia) have been cast as leads in the new thriller Time Cut from screenwriters Michael Kennedy (Freaky) and Sono Patel (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel).
Hannah MacPherson, who previously directed Into the Dark: Pure for Blumhouse and Hulu and [email protected], is set to helm the project. Plot details are being withheld but according to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is being described as Back to the Future meets Scream.
Happy Death Day and Freaky director Christopher Landon will serve as a producer on the project alongside Matt Kaplan for ACE Entertainment. The production is tentatively set to begin in June 2021. Filming will take place in Canada.
Bailey and Gentry have both seen their star power increase in the last year or so thanks to their successful appearances in series on Netflix. Both actresses are scheduled to return for new seasons on those series as well.
There is no word yet on when Time Cut will be released, but iHorror will keep you posted on those details as well as further casting news as it becomes available. They certainly seem to have assembled exactly the right crew and cast so far for such a venture.
