Now that you have hopefully seen A Quiet Place – and if you haven’t you definitely should—we wait for the other highly-anticipated (not including Halloween) horror release of 2018: Hereditary.
The film has generated so much buzz since it debuted at Sundance that horror fans are putting it at the top of their lists, and with this newest trailer we can see why.
Our own Trey Hilburn III got a chance to see the film at SXSW this year and called it, “a strategic assault on its audience” in his review.
So if you want more clues on what this mysterious film is about, check out the latest trailer below and don’t say we didn’t warn you.
Here the a studio’s description of the film.
“When Ellen, the matriarch of the Graham family, passes away, her daughter’s family begins to unravel cryptic and increasingly terrifying secrets about their ancestry.
The more they discover, the more they find themselves trying to outrun the sinister fate they seem to have inherited.
Making his feature debut, writer-director Ari Aster unleashes a nightmare vision of a domestic breakdown that exhibits the craft and precision of a nascent auteur, transforming a familial tragedy into something ominous and deeply disquieting, and pushing the horror movie into chilling new terrain with its shattering portrait of heritage gone to hell.”
Hereditary will hit theaters nationwide on June 8.
