All right, David Gordon Green…we’re in. Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that Kyle Richards, who starred as little Lindsey Wallace in the original Halloween is returning to reprise the role in next year’s Halloween Kills.
The actress played a number of roles throughout the late 70s and early 80s, including a recurring role on the popular Little House on the Prairie, but for genre fans, she’s always been the little girl next door who found herself running from the boogeyman with her best buddy, Tommy Doyle (Brian Andrews).
The actress is more recently recognizable from her appearance on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in which she appeared alongside her sister, Kim Richards (Escape to Witch Mountain).
Richards is the latest casting news from the newest chapter in the franchise. It was only a few days ago that it was announced that Anthony Michael Hall would be joining the cast to take on the role of grown-up Tommy.
Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, and Andi Matichak will return from the 2018 sequel.
Beyond casting, details have been scarce about just where things will go in Halloween Kills. We know that David Gordon Green will direct once again, and that he, Danny McBride, and Scott Teems have written the script.
Halloween Kills is slated for release in October of 2020 with Halloween Ends following in October, 2021. The films are produced by Blumhouse with distribution by Universal Pictures.
