Well, here’s the much-anticipated trailer for Kevin Smith’s Tusk, fresh out of Comic-Con.

It informs us that, “All that separates man from animal are the stories he tells.”
We see that Justin Long’s character travels around and interviews weird and interesting people for a podcast, which also includes Haley Joel Osment. Michael Parks, whom Smith used quite effectively in Red State, is apparently an “old man, who has enjoyed a long and storied life at sea,” and once had his live saved by a Walrus, or so his story goes.
Justin Long appears to have been drugged, and held captive, as Parks apparently prepares to turn him into a human walrus. Long doesn’t want to die in Canada.
Yeah, this should be fun. It appears Tusk will have a more comedic tone than Red State. While I enjoyed the incredibly sober turn Smith offered us in the prior film a great deal, the man obviously knows how to get some laughs, and it’ll be interesting to see how he walks that line in Tusk.
The alternate ending of Clerks sure gave us an interesting mix.
