One of the best things about the Halloween season is seeing all the themed food products hitting store shelves, and each year brings both returning favorites as well as brand new treats. We’re going to be covering all of it here on iHorror, so be sure to keep tabs on our ‘Halloween’ section.

There’s no doubt that General Mills is the reigning king of Halloween snacks, with their annual Monster Cereals being a particular highlight of the Fall months. Boo Berry, Count Chocula, and Franken Berry return this year with high-tech makeovers, but they’re not going to be alone in the cereal aisle.

Brought to our attention by blog The Moon is a Dead World, rival cereal company Kellogg’s is going all out this year with a Halloween lineup of their own, hoping to compete with General Mills by putting spooky spins on some of their top brands like Froot Loops and Apple Jacks.

Halloween Cereals

Limited to the 2015 Halloween season, both the Loops and the Jacks feature marshmallows shaped like bones, and Kellogg’s is encouraging kids (and adults who refuse to grow up) to pluck them out of the bag and build their own complete skeletons. As for Krave, the cereal has been dyed orange for Halloween.

Taking part in the Halloween fun is nothing new for Kellogg’s, as they often put some sort of seasonal twist on their most popular cereals – Cocoa Krispies, sadly, are being left out this year. And their pumpkin pie Pop-Tarts, sure to make their grand return in 2015, are an annual favorite of mine.

Keep your eyes peeled for all these tasty Halloween cereals, which should be arriving real soon!
