21 years ago, Steven Spielberg opened up Jurassic Park, an adventure that brought dinosaurs back to life and became one of the most iconic films of the 90s. Two sequels and two decades later, the dinosaurs return, as the new and improved Jurassic World gets ready to open up its doors.
Next year marks the release of the latest installment in the franchise, which gives rise to a brand new breed of dinosaur. Set inside the confines of the fictional Jurassic World, an entire theme park catered to dinosaur lovers, the impending summer blockbuster centers on a genetically-modified dino that gets free, once again proving that dinosaur theme parks aren’t the best idea.
Though the first trailer for the film wasn’t supposed to hit the net until this Thursday, Universal has delivered the goods a couple days early, and that’s something that we should all be thankful for this Thanksgiving. Because holy shit does Jurassic World look awesome, and I can almost guarantee you’re about to get serious chills.
Check out the trailer for the Spielberg-produced sequel below, which is directed by Colin Trevorrow and stars Chris Pratt & Bryce Dallas Howard. The doors open on June 12th!
