Doctors Ellie Sattler, Ian Malcolm, and Alan Grant will head back into the fray when Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, and Sam Neill reprise their roles in the upcoming Jurassic World sequel.

The film’s official Instagram announced the return of the three actors who first navigated their way through the terrifying world of Jurassic Park way back in 1993. The third Jurassic World film will mark the sixth entry in the franchise which has kept audiences on the edge of their seats since the first time we saw a herd of brachiosaurus eating leaves from the tops of trees in that first film.

The film’s director, Colin Trevorrow, who will also produce the film alongside Steven Speilberg, recently released a short film titled Battle at Big Rock which centers on a family who finds themselves face to face with a terrifying carnivore while out on a camping trip. The short teases the theme of the Jurassic World 3 which the director spoke about with Entertainment Weekly last year.

“What we’re suggesting is not just that these specific animals that we care about that were in captivity were freed,” he said, “but also that the ability to create these animals has gone a little bit wider than our friend Dr. Wu. The open-sourcing of any technology, like nuclear power, that’s the scary side for me.”

We’re sure all three doctors, and especially Dr. Ian Malcolm, will have plenty to say about that!

iHorror will keep you posted on all the latest details for the third Jurassic World film as they become available.
