‘Jurassic World’ Roller Coaster Coming to Universal Orlando

by Trey Hilburn III

This week we saw the very cool poster for the upcoming Jurassic World entry. Jurassic World: Domination brings together a huge cast of old meets new. Meaning, the Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard crowd meeting up with the Sam Neil, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum gang. Well, now we are super happy to share that Universal Orlando is receiving its own Jurassic World roller coaster and best of all we don’t have to wait too long to ride it.

The Jurassic Park ride, titled the VelociCoaster brings you into the hunt – as you run with a pack of Velociraptors. The  ride will be part of the Island of Adventure in 2021. From the description it is going to be insane and sort of reinvent the coaster.

This bad boy takes you from 0-70 MPH in 2.4 seconds. That is going to be right out of the gate. So, no slowly riding up a hill in order to pick up speed on the slope. The paddock gate unlocks and boom, you are racing at 70 MPH. This will be Universal’s faster rollercoaster yet with two crazy launches and four inversions.

The short preview video that Universal released shows some pretty fancy looking FX. The intro sees you in a paddock with your Velociraptor brothers on either side of you. The roller coaster will also feature a big 85-foot drop.

The Jurassic coaster looks pretty cool and is definitely something I would love to eventually get around to checking out.

What do you guys think of the Velocicoaster? Let us know in the comments.
