Jordan Peele Says Next Film Due in July 2022 Scarier Than ‘Get Out’ and ‘Us’

by Trey Hilburn III

Jordan Peele is a busy dude. He has multiple shows currently on television including The Twilight Zone, Hunters and Lovecraft Country. In addition he has produced films including an upcoming remake of The People Under The Stairs and meanwhile is still working on his next picture.

Peele signed a pretty awesome gig with Universal Pictures, one that gets him a five year production partnership. Not too shabby. His last two films have scared up huge box office takes. It also goes a long way to say that both Get Out and Us were very good, game changing films.

Peele is working on his third film which he has gone on record saying that this one is going to be scarier than both of his previous pictures. Or, at least that is what he is aiming to do.

We are still anticipating the heck out of Nia DaCosta’s Candyman film. That one was pushed back from this year to Aug. 27 of 2021.  DaCosta directs the next Candyman film with Peele producing and co-writing.

It will be interesting to see which way Peele goes with his next film. Much like Get Out and Us, this next offering should be more original IP. That is seemingly the most exciting part about his work. The studio gives him room to breathe and room to create new and meaningful scares for us.
