The Last Drive-In host Joe Bob Briggs is not about to let the people who put horror entertainment on the map be forgotten.

In a recent video he says was inspired by the Oscar’s In Memoriam segment to create one of his own, only this time it is dedicated to those we lost in the horror industry.

During this year’s Oscar reel, the Academy left Hollywood veteran and horror icon, Sid Haig, out of their collage and received a lot of backlash because of it.

Briggs’ list was released on May 1 and includes Haig and passings as recent as director Joel M. Reed (Bloodsucking Freaks) who died on April 12.

The host is currently underway with season two of his highly popular show The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs, on Shudder.
