As we’ve talked about here on iHorror, Jason Voorhees was recently made available as a playable character in the new game Mortal Kombat X, allowing us all to slice and dice victims as the slasher villain for the very first time. It’s kind of the greatest thing ever, and we hope you’re enjoying it.

Now that Jason Voorhees has entered the world of Mortal Kombat, we can’t help wonder how awesome it would be if the characters from the video game made the leap into Jason’s world of live-action reality. Thankfully, the folks over at WTFLOL had the same thought, and they’ve taken matters into their own hands.

Known for their hilarious spoof videos, the popular YouTube channel just released the short fan film Scorpion vs. Jason Voorhees, which runs just over 2-minutes long and depicts a live-action fight between the two pop culture icons. Not surprisingly, Scorpion has a tough time taking down the big guy, much the same way Julius did in Jason Takes Manhattan.

Check out the super cool short film below, which features a guest appearance from Freddy Krueger. And below that you’ll find a video compilation of every Voorhees Fatality from Mortal Kombat X!

Mortal Kombat X includes a new, original and non-linear storyline “showcasing some of the game’s most prolific characters including Scorpion and Sub-Zero, while introducing new challengers that represent the forces of good and evil and tie the tale together.” The story begins at the end of the previous game and then eventually transitions to twenty-five years into the future, placing emphasis on aged veterans, new characters and the next-generation offspring of the previous fighters.
