A remake/reboot of 1994’s The Crow has been on-again, off-again so many times that it’s hard to even care anymore, but it appears, at least at the present time, to be on-again. Corin Hardy, director of last year’s monster movie The Hallow, will apparently be sitting in the director’s chair, despite recent reports that he was off the project, and he may have just found his Eric Draven.
Mashable reports today that Jason Momoa is in talks to play the lead role in Relativity’s reboot of The Crow, based on the graphic novel by James O’Barr. Multiple people close to the project, the site says, have confirmed the news, which perfectly lines up with a recent photo on Instagram that showed Momoa sealing the deal with Hardy on what he dubbed a “dream job.”
The Crow centers on Eric Draven, who returns from the dead to track down his killers and avenge his murdered fiancee.
Jason Momoa will soon be seen in Aquaman, being directed by James Wan.
