Yet another new horror show heads to the small screen on September 22nd, the date marking the premiere of Fox’s Scream Queens. American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy is the man behind the series, which draws inspiration from the slasher movies of the 1980s.
At Comic-Con this past weekend, Hall H hosted a joint American Horror Story/Scream Queens panel, and many stars of both shows were on hand to answer questions from the fans. Most notably, Scream Queens star Jamie Lee Curtis was on the panel, making her Comic-Con debut.
Yes, despite being a scream queen and a bonafide horror/movie icon for many decades now, Jamie Lee Curtis had never previously appeared at Comic-Con, and the first question she was asked was unsurprisingly about that very topic. And Curtis’ response had the audience in stitches.
Described as Friday the 13th meets Heathers, the 15-episode comedy-horror anthology series Scream Queens revolves around a college campus rocked by a series of murders, and the cast is loaded with star-power including Emma Roberts, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Nick Jonas and Ariana Grande.
