James Wan Revs Up ‘Knight Rider’ Reboot

I can already hear the classic intro theme music while writing this. Atomic Monster and Spyglass Media are rebooting Knight Rider. James Wan is on as a producer with TJ Fixman as scribe.

There are no details on the plot on this go, but we can assume that it will be akin to the famous 1980’s TV classic.

The original series starred David Hasselhoff as Michael Knight and his badass talking car, KITT. As a kiddo the series was my all time fave. It ran from 82-86 which in my opinion wasn’t near long enough of a time period for such a cool show.

I’m hoping that whatever they do they keep KITT looking like KITT. The Pontiac Trans AM was a classic look for the crime-fighting car. If they use the same build that would be spectacular.

Writer, TJ Fixman comes from a video game writing background. He worked on PlayStation Exclusives, Resistance 2 and the Ratchet and Clank series.

Usually, much like you guys, I’m against the idea of reboots. However, this is one I can get behind. There are some possibilities for the show that could take it to the next level if utilized. Plus, we will always have our classic Knight Rider episodes to fall back on.

What do you guys think about a Knight Rider reboot? Let us know in the comments section.

Trey grew up wedged in-between the aisles of a video store. After a Cronenbergian inspired sequence, He has officially become fused with both film and video games.
