Just when you thought the year was almost over…

There may only be four more months left in 2016, but there’s certainly no shortage of horror movies headed our way in those remaining months. After all, with Halloween fast approaching, horror is about to become more dominant than it’s been all year, and films like Blair Witch, Rob Zombie’s 31, and Phantasm: Ravager promise to make the road to the 31st incredibly enjoyable this year.

Which movies are we most looking forward to in the remainder of 2016? We’ve put together a handy guide of our top 10 most anticipated, along with release dates, plot descriptions, and trailers for each of them. When all is said and done, we’ve got a good feeling that we’re going to look back on 2016 as being one hell of a year for horror.

Here’s everything we’re still excited about seeing this year!

1) DON’T BREATHE – AUGUST 26TH – THEATERS

A trio of friends break into the house of a wealthy blind man, thinking they’ll get away with the perfect heist. They’re wrong.

2) ROB ZOMBIE’S 31 – SEPTEMBER 1ST – THEATERS (ONE NIGHT ONLY)

From the visionary mind of the man who brought us House of 1000 Corpses, The Devil’s Rejects, and Halloween, comes the horrific story of five carnival workers who are kidnapped the night before Halloween and held hostage in a large compound. At the mercy of their captors, they are forced to play a twisted game of life or death called 31. For the next 12 hours they must fight for their lives against an endless parade of homicidal maniacs.

3) MORGAN – SEPTEMBER 2ND – THEATERS

A corporate troubleshooter (Kate Mara) is sent to a remote, top-secret location, where she is to investigate and evaluate a terrifying accident. She learns the event was triggered by a seemingly innocent “human,” who presents a mystery of both infinite promise and incalculable danger.

4) YOGA HOSERS – SEPTEMBER 2ND – THEATERS

Colleen Collette and Colleen McKenzie are teenage besties from Winnipeg who love yoga and live on their smartphones. But when these sophomores get invited to a senior party by the school hottie, the Colleens accidentally uncover an ancient evil buried beneath their Canadian convenience store. They join forces with legendary man-hunter Guy Lapointe to fight for their lives.

5) THE NEIGHBOR – SEPTEMBER 6TH – DVD/VOD

In the small town of Cutter, Mississippi, most people keep to themselves. But when John (Josh Stewart) comes home to find his girlfriend, Rosie (Alex Essoe), missing, he suspects his mysterious and off-putting neighbor (Bill Engvall) is somehow involved. John learns that Rosie’s life is not all that is at stake after a visit to his neighbor’s cellar. It becomes clear that the seemingly quiet town is more dangerous than it looks, and John and Rosie must do more than just run away if they want to survive the night.

CLOWNTOWN tells the story of a group of friends who get stranded in a seemingly abandoned town and find themselves stalked by a gang of violent psychopaths dressed as clowns. It is loosely inspired by the clowns who terrorized Bakersfield, California, in 2014.

8) PHANTASM: RAVAGER – OCTOBER 7TH – THEATERS/VOD

Phantasm: Ravager is an all-new film that brings one of cinema’s longest-running franchises (36 years!) without a reboot to a close, with Mike (A. Michael Baldwin) and Reggie (Reggie Banister) teaming up to confront the dimension-hopping Tall Man (Angus Scrimm, in his final role) once and for all.

9) OUIJA: ORIGIN OF EVIL – OCTOBER 21ST – THEATERS

It was never just a game. Inviting audiences again into the lore of the spirit board, Ouija: Origin of Evil tells a terrifying new tale as the follow-up to 2014’s sleeper hit that opened at number one. In 1965 Los Angeles, a widowed mother and her two daughters add a new stunt to bolster their séance scam business and unwittingly invite authentic evil into their home. When the youngest daughter is overtaken by the merciless spirit, this small family confronts unthinkable fears to save her and send her possessor back to the other side.

10) RINGS – OCTOBER 28TH – THEATERS
