Some well-timed photo and footage releases already have horror fans losing their minds with excitement over the second (and final) chapter of Andy Muschietti’s IT. This new little tidbit of information might collectively send our impatience over the damn edge.
In a spot on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, guest Jessica Chastain revealed that IT: Chapter Two has upped the carnage with a scene that reportedly features the most blood ever used in a single horror movie scene.
“I’m gonna say something and I think I’m gonna be in trouble but I’m gonna do it,” Chastain teased. “It might be a spoiler, but in the movie there’s a scene that someone said on set that it’s the most blood that’s ever been in a horror film in a scene.” She added, “The next day I was pulling blood out of my eyeballs.”

The coveted title of Bloodiest Horror Film is up for debate, but it’s worth noting that Fede Alvarez used approximately 50,000 gallons of the stuff in one day for the final scene of his 2013 Evil Dead reboot.
And let’s not forget Peter Jackson’s Dead Alive, which had that memorable weaponized lawnmower that churned out 300 liters per minute. Pardon the pun, but that is bloody impressive.
All this is to say that – if the reports are true – we can expect one helluva return to Derry.
IT: Chapter Two will see Bill Skarsgård return as Pennywise along with James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain, Bill Hader, Isaiah Mustafa, Jay Ryan, James Ransone, and Andy Bean as the adult Losers Club. Jaeden Lieberher, Wyatt Oleff, Sophia Lillis, Finn Wolfhard, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Chosen Jacobs, and Jack Dylan Grazer will reprise their roles as the young Losers.
It: Chapter Two hits theaters on September 6, 2019.
