Well, well, well…looks like Henry Bowers will be returning for IT: Chapter Two! Variety reports Teach Grant (Altered Carbon, Damnation, Van Helsing) has officially signed on for the role playing the psychotic bully’s adult counterpart. Nicholas Hamilton played Bowers in last year’s film, bringing an intensity (and a hell of a mullet) to the part.

Jess Weixler (Teeth, The Son) has also been announced to be taking on the part of Bill’s wife in the upcoming sequel. They will be joining a robust cast, which includes Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy, Bill Hader, Isaiah Mustafa, Andy Bean, James Ransone, Jay Ryan, and…of course, Bill Skarsgård. Andy Muschietti is returning to direct the second installment.

Bowers’ unsettling character shook things up quite a bit for the Losers Club in the first film, and is bound to do it again in the sequel. He made audiences uncomfortable every time he was on screen with his unhinged and dangerous personality brought on tragically by a bad upbringing. He didn’t stand a chance when Pennywise came into the picture. Who knows what his mental state will be after the events of the first movie. Well, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

McAvoy just confirmed filming has commenced on Instagram IT: Chapter Two. The release date is currently set for September 6th, 2019. That means Pennywise will be just in time for Halloween next year!
