The Losers Club cast is rounding out very nicely for IT: Chapter Two! Deadline confirms Jay Ryan (Beauty and the Beast TV series, Mary Kills People) is being tapped to star as adult Ben Hanscom. James Ransone (Sinister) and Andy Bean (Here and Now) were also recently confirmed to be playing grown up Eddie Kaspbrak and Stanley Uris.
They will be joining Jessica Chastain (Crimson Peak, Zero Dark Thirty), who was previously in negotiations to be playing Beverly Marsh in the upcoming sequel. James McAvoy (Split, Atomic Blonde) and Bill Hader were also in talks for the roles of Bill Denbrough and Richie Tozier.
Bill Skarsgård (IT, Deadpool 2) will be reprising his role as Pennywise, the child devouring clown who dwells in the sewers of Derry. The film takes place 27 years following the events of the first movie. The sequel may boast a different visual style with new cinematographer Checco Varese to communicate the time gap between the two movies. Andy Muschietti is returning to direct after enjoying the massive theatrical success of the first film.
The Losers Club in IT: Chapter Two is nearly complete! The original miniseries sadly fell apart in the second chapter. Having a solid cast is definitely a good start for the new film. This group of talented stars should be able to disappear in their roles when they do battle once again with Pennywise.
IT: Chapter Two is set to crawl out of the sewers on September 26, 2019.
