Black Mirror and Inside No. 9 are definitely cut from the same cloth. If you have seen Black Mirror and haven’t dove into Inside No. 9 yet, you should. The British series is the work of Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton, the team behind League of Gentlemen and Psychoville. Inside No. 9 is a brilliant anthology series that ranges from horror to drama, but is a consistently well-written series throughout. Inside No. 9’s has finished its sixth series recently and has already begun work on series 7.
The series shared a new image with Shearsmith and Pemberton in costume for a new set of characters that we are yet to have seen. But, with the series track record, I’m sure that they will be memorable.
“We started filming in March last year but had to hit pause due to the pandemic. After a nine-month gestation it’s a relief to finally deliver our 6th series to the world. As proud parents we couldn’t possibly choose a favourite, but like any youngest sibling this series is cheeky, funny – and can get away with murder…” Shearsmith and Pemberton told BBC.
“We’re delighted to have concluded filming the sixth season of Inside No. 9. It’s a unique series we could not be prouder of, and we are in awe of Reece and Steve’s extraordinary ability to continually raise the bar. Long live Inside No. 9!” BBC’s Josh Cole said.
Inside No. 9’s Series 6 is set to air later in 2021. Work has already started on a 7th series which is set to air in 2022.
Are you guys looking forward to series 6 of Inside No. 9? The series broadcast via BBC but you can catch up on it via HBO Max or VOD.
