“You can find things. But it’s easier once they’re dead.” So says the little boy in the trailer for In the Tall Grass, the new horror film based on the novella by Stephen King and his son and fellow author, Joe Hill, headed to Netflix on October 4, 2019.

Proving once again that King and Hill can take just about any scenario and up the creep factor by 100, In the Tall Grass centers on Cal (Avery Whitted) and Becky (Laysla De Oliveira), a brother and sister traveling across country together by car. When they happen up on a field very tall grass, they’re startled to hear the voice of a young boy crying out for help somewhere inside.

Naturally, they step inside to help, and find themselves separated and lost as something begins to stalk them.

The trailer for the new film, which also stars Patrick Wilson (The Conjuring), is intense. We see the grass slicing in their ankles and the mud pulling at their feet as they try to unravel what is going on inside the field, and more importantly, how to find each other once more and escape.

Vincenzo Natali (The Cube) wrote the screenplay and directed the film.

Take a look at that trailer below and let us know if you’ll be watching In the Tall Grass when it hits Netflix on October 4th!
