At this past February’s Toy Fair, NECA showed off a handful of upcoming releases, which we reported on during our coverage of the event. In addition to a slew of Alien/Aliens collectibles, they also unveiled several new additions to their retro line, the most exciting of which was a figure of Friday the 13th: Part 5‘s ‘Imposter Jason,’ Roy Burns.
It was of course paramedic Roy who turned out to be the faux Jason Voorhees that was stalking and slashing throughout the film, which naturally disappointed many fans – who still rant about the admittedly poor decision to this day. But whether you were a fan of Part 5 or not, you must admit that it’s pretty cool that we’re finally getting a chance to add Imposter Jason to our toy shelves, which has been a missing piece of the horror action figure puzzle for far too long.
With the figure set to begin shipping out to retailers next week, NECA just posted a full image gallery of it over on their website, which shows the toy in all its glory. The images give us our very first glimpse of the figure without the iconic hockey mask covering Roy’s face, and show off the various weapons he’ll come packaged with.
Head over to NECA’ s website to see the full gallery, and look for Roy on toy shelves real soon!
