I’ll never forget the first time I ever stepped foot into an IKEA. One had just opened up in my area and my wife & I had no idea what we were getting into, as we were both completely blown away by the sheer size and scope of the place.
A labyrinthine maze of displays and endless products, IKEA is like a goddamn hotel that you can buy things from, and I’m pretty sure that a good portion of the missing children in the world were simply lost on a family visit to the store.
Don’t hold me to that statistic, though. It’s merely an educated guess.
For this year’s Halloween season, IKEA Singapore has brilliantly spoofed the size of their stores, comparing them to The Shining‘s iconic Overlook Hotel. In this year’s very best Halloween commercial, a familiar looking little boy rides a familiar looking toy vehicle through IKEA, which gets scarier and scarier with each passing moment.
