Run, the new thriller starring Sarah Paulson, is set to make its premiere on the streaming service on November 20, 2020. Lionsgate, meanwhile, will release the film in select international markets.
From the official synopsis:
They say you can never escape a mother’s love… but for Chloe, that’s not a comfort — it’s a threat. There’s something unnatural, even sinister about the relationship between Chloe (newcomer Kiera Allen who is also the first actual wheelchair user cast in a major thriller since the 1940s) and her mom, Diane (Sarah Paulson). Diane has raised her daughter in total isolation, controlling every move she’s made since birth, and there are secrets that Chloe’s only beginning to grasp. From the visionary writers, producers and director of the breakout film Searching, comes a suspense thriller that shows that when mom gets a little too close, you need to RUN.
The film is directed by Aneesh Chaganty, based on a script the director co-wrote with Sev Ohanian. The duo have worked on a number of films together including 2018’s Searching starring John Cho (The Exorcist series).
Run joins a host of films that have found themselves of premiering on streaming services this year due to coronavirus restrictions. Hulu, itself, has hosted several of these premieres this year including Palm Springs and The Binge.
From the trailer below, the film looks absolutely chilling, and we can’t wait to see what Chaganty, Paulson, and Allen have in store for us. Mark your calendars for November 20, 2020 and get ready to Run!
