One of the many great things the late Hugh Hefner (1926 – 2017) did other than publishing one of the most iconic magazines in the world was throw one helluva Halloween party at the Playboy Mansion each year.

These parties for charity were legendary and highly anticipated.

Celebrities from all over Hollywood, the world attended the soirees and lived to tell about them.

Each year the mansion would become a haunted house with carnival rides, performers and of course spooky, yet sexy Bunnies.

In 2015, this annual event also included a haunted forest, a “Freak Show” with sideshow characters and other talented performers including evil mermaids and fire breathers.

But the mansion was sold in 2016 and the famous Halloween Party was put to rest.

The official Playboy events page doesn’t even list it anymore.

Hugh Hefner may have been known for discovering some of the most beautiful women in the world, but he also had a love for Halloween as seen in the pictures above.

Rest in peace Mr. Hefner, you are now free to move back into your beloved mansion and give everyone a real scare come Halloween night.
