There has been an uptick in the popularity of horror shorts recently. People are appreciating the hard work and effort it takes to create these bite-sized horror films, but also discover what directors, actors and special effects can do on a small budget while still delivering a large impact.
If you are in New York this evening, you should head over to Tribeca Festival Hub on St. Johns Lane to watch Crypt TV’s Monster Madness short film fest which features some of the most talented rising horror stars in the business.
There are seven films in the tract. From the beautifully shot story of a childhood guardian who protects his human at any cost, to a child’s toy free in a suburban home of horrors to the true story of a man whose body becomes a horrifying piece of art.
Crypt TV has hand-picked these brief yet effective movies as love letters to its horror audience.
Here is a list of the films included in the lineup:
The Birch (directed by: Ben Franklin & Anthony Melton)
