Pocus

The black magic out of the Hocus Pocus camp has taken the form of magically good news. Looks like Disney is developing a new Hocus Pocus film to line up with Disney+.

Disney has been on a tear recently looking for new sequels, reboots and complete remakes to fill its lineup of original content and, it looks like Hocus Pocus is to be one of them.

The new Hocus Pocus film is being worked on by Jen D’Angelo (Workaholics, Happy Together) but no plot details or cast has been announced past that.

The film that was being developed a couple of years back fell apart. That attempt was to make a TV movie for the Disney Channel at the time. If it had been made, we would not have had any of the cast returning to play their respective roles.

Rather it is going to be a true sequel, reboot or remake remains to be seen but, I can definitely say that it would be exciting to see Disney+ give it a try. Their upcoming Star Wars series, The Mandalorian had a budget of $90 million per episode. That bodes well for Disney+’s future projects and might mean that we get an actual well-crafted Hocus Pocus follow up.

What do you guys think? Excited to see Hocus Pocus return on Disney+? Do you want to see Midler, Najimy and Parker back in their classic roles? Let us know in the comments section.
