If you’re asking me, one of the best things to happen to horror fans last year was NBC’s Hannibal, which premiered in April and ran through June.  A modern day expansion on the universe and characters present in films like Red Dragon and Silence of the Lambs, the first season of Hannibal was oozing with style, substance and a whole lot of gory carnage, and it didn’t take long before I was absolutely hooked.

Needless to say, I’ve been anxiously awaiting the return of Dr. Lecter and the gang, who return onto our weekly viewing schedule next month.  In the finale of the first season, Will Graham finally came to the realization that Hannibal was the man responsible for the murders he’s been investigating, and after attempting to murder Lecter, Graham found himself placed in a hospital for the criminally insane.

Where does the story go from there?  We’ll find out at 10/9c on February 28th.  In the meantime, check out the intense preview trailer for the upcoming second season, which is set to the tune of a creepy cover of Ben E. King’s iconic song ‘Stand by Me’!

While we’re talking Hannibal, it was just announced that Katharine Isabelle (Freddy vs. Jason, American Mary) has joined the cast of the show as Margot, a patient of Dr. Lecter’s who will show up towards the end of Season 2.  She’s been described as a potential love interest of Will’s, which should be interesting, to say the least!
