The standout winner of last year’s Halloween season, at least as far as tasty treats are concerned, was undoubtedly Burger King, who won the crown thanks to their black-bunned Halloween Whopper. Unfortunately – likely due to a rather unpleasant side effect from the food dye – it doesn’t look like the HW is making a return this year, but it seems McDonald’s is intent on one-upping last year’s Burger King offering.
Can you say…. HALLOWEEN FRENCH FRIES!?
As reported by Kotaku, McDonald’s in Japan will be rolling out the Halloween fries (pictured above) on September 28th, and if you’re wondering what exactly they’re covered with, we can answer that question for you. Drizzled atop the greasy fries are both chocolate and pumpkin-flavored syrups, making these the world’s first-ever (to my knowledge, at least) PUMPKIN FRENCH FRIES. Yes, we have finally hit peak pumpkin, and if only for a moment, all feels so very right with the world.
We only have one picture of the Halloween Fries, but we want to make sure you properly soak in its glory. So enjoy a full gallery of… that one image.
How bout now?
