Johannes Roberts directed the hell out of the very tense 47 Meters Down. This time instead of focusing on sharks, Roberts will focus his eye on zombies and the T-Virus. We have had a bit of Resident Evil casting info start dripping down. The latest bit out of Deadline reports that Gotham and Blade Star, Donal Logue is set to join the Resident Evil production.
Logue is set to play Chief Irons in an Resident Evil adaptation that is closer to the original video game material. Meaning it’s going down in Raccoon City and will be a mix of locales like the Mansion and the police station. Most interestingly, this Resident Evil reboot is set in 1998. So, its taking a bit of a time jump and going back to the game’s actual release era.
Logue joins a cast that already includes, Kaya Scodelario, Hannah John-Kamen, Robbie Amell, Tom Hopper, Avan Jogia and Neal McDonough. Scodelario will play Claire Redfield with Kamen playing Jill Valentine and Tom Hopper playing the big bad jerk, Albert Wesker.
Constantin Film is producing the video game based movie and we should see it in theaters 2021.
What do you guys think about this Resident Evil being faithful to the storie from the original games? Let us know in the comments section.
