'Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween' - Columbia Pictures Corporation, Sony Pictures Animation

The dog days of summer are here, but Sony’s new Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween trailer is already prepping us for fall! The film stars Jeremy Ray Taylor (IT), Madison Iseman (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle), Caleel Harris (Castle Rock), Wendi McLendon-Covey (The Goldbergs), Chris Parnell (Anchorman, SNL), Ken Jeong (The Hangover, Transformers: Dark of the Moon), Ben O’Brien (Manchester by the Sea), and Peyton Wich (Stranger Things).

It appears some time has passed since the events of the first film. R.L. Stine’s home has fallen into disarray over the years, and now looks like a legit haunted house in the trailer. How fitting.

The curiosity of Caleel Harris and Jeremy Ray Taylor’s characters get the best of them as they go inside to explore the spooky, abandoned home. Things quickly go awry after they find one mysterious Stine book locked securely away in a hidden room, and accidentally unleash Slappy the evil dummy, once again, to finish what he started.

Witches, werewolves, skeletons, and…evil Gummy Bears(?) are running amuck in this family scarefest. The trailer oozes October vibes with rolling mist, fallen leaves, and jack-o-lantern covered houses. What more could you ask for on Halloween?

The sequel is directed by Ari Sandel, and will creep its way into theaters October 12, 2018!
