Since before I could even talk I loved Godzilla! Some of my earliest memories are of me acting out my favorite monster battles as I echoed the world-crushing might shown on TV as Godzilla rose larger than life to battle his large array of memorable foes. These were the earliest moments of my life and the very reason I have a profound love for both monsters and cinema today.

You see, when I was only three and four years old, Godzilla was real, and so were his companions and enemies. Funny enough, as I grew up and began to learn all about the magic of movie making – for instance, the many men who got into costume and breathed (roared) life into those glorious suits, and the miniature cities and landscapes built with exquisite detail – the Godzilla films never once lost their charm on me, but instead, a brand new and deeper admiration took root in my heart as I learned what all took place to give me such fond early memories.

Much like the King of the Monsters it represents, the Godzilla property can never die. Each new generation has the chance to experience the battle of the Titans in new ways.

Judging by the latest trailer, that is exactly what we are going to get too. An all out battle of titanic champions. The Mini-Manic in my heart couldn’t stop hopping up and down like a little idiot as the scenes unfolded before me. Fans will get brief glimpses of old friends and old foes, a small taste of what next year’s monster romp has in store for us.

We won’t only be getting more Godzilla, but this time around we’re given Mothra, Rodan, and the one, the only, King Ghidorah! I can’t wait!

“The new story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of Huge monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species – thought to be mere myths – rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.”

Directer Michael Dougherty means to to take us on a colossal journey next Spring.

Fans of Stranger Things will see Millie Bobby Brown go up against her biggest challenge yet, and with her charisma I’m sure she’ll still some thunder here and there.

Check out the trailer and see our favorite kaiju come to life in world-shattering new ways!
