The ending of Shyamalan’s 2016 psychological thriller Split revealed *SPOILERS* it was a part of the same universe as his 2000 film Unbreakable. It was one of the director’s best twists he’s pulled off yet, and it opened up a surprise superhero universe no one saw coming.

The trailer focuses on The Beast character’s shattered psyche, as you hear his numerous personalities breaking through his consciousness. We see The Beast (a.k.a. Kevin Wendell Crumb) playfully skating around the same facility he, Elijah Price (Samuel L. Jackson), and David Dunn (Bruce Willis) were being held in, as seen in the first poster. EW also revealed stills and behind-the-scenes shots from the film last week.

Following the conclusion of Split, Glass finds Dunn pursuing Crumb’s superhuman figure of The Beast in a series of escalating encounters, while the shadowy presence of Price emerges as an orchestrator who holds secrets critical to both men.

Glass is set to hit theaters January 18, 2019. Check out the teaser trailer below!
