The newest trailer gives us a full look at the glorious ginormous uber-predator. He’s big, he’s bold, and he’s here to rumble.
The new trailer also delivers a good amount of face-time with the rough-and-ready mercenary characters – Keegan-Michael Key, Boyd Holbrook, Thomas Jane, Alfie Allen, and Trevante Rhodes – as well as the enticingly saucy Sterling K Brown.
We’re getting a bit more details about Sterling K Brown’s involvement with the predator (his character name is currently listed as simply “Government Agent”), specifically that he works “in acquisitions”. From the compiled footage that we’ve seen from all teasers and trailers so far, we’re getting the impression that both he and Olivia Munn’s character (Casey Bracket) seem to know far more than they’re letting on.
It seems that the production team is keeping character cameos from Edward James Olmos and Jake Busey close to the chest – unfortunately there’s no sign from them yet – but we can probably just chock that up to building anticipation.
The action is amped up and the Predator looks pretty damn great. We’re feeling the large amount of face that he’s serving – sans mask – and we cannot wait to see more.
Directed and co-written by Predator alum Shane Black (who played Hawkins in the 1987 original), The Predator hits theaters on September 14, 2018.
