It’s been a big week for the Forbidden Films crew – the folks behind genre festival hit Found and its upcoming spin-off Headless.

Earlier this month, we reported that Found will hit DVD in September in the US (October in the UK). This was straight from director Scott Schirmer.

Before that, it looks like the film will see a limited theatrical and VOD release courtesy of XLrator Media. Deadline reports that that this will take place on August 15th, and will include an iTunes release.

Meanwhile, Headless, the spin-off project, which is to be  feature-length version of the insane VHS movie within the Found film, just surpassed its initial Kickstarter goal. Good things are happening with that, and production begins in September.

Here are some links to some interviews we did with those involved with both projects.

Todd Rigney (Author of the Found novel, and co-writer of the screenplay)

Scott Schirmer (Director and co-writer of Found, co-producer of Headless)

Nathan Erdel (Writer of the Headless screenplay)

Kara Erdel (Co-producer of Headless)

Stay tuned because we have conversations with Headless director Arthur Cullipher and the Headless killer himself Shane Beasley on the way.
