It’s reopened and ready for business… in a manner of speaking. The newest entry in the point and click survival series Five Nights at Freddy’s 3 is available from Steam for Windows PC for a mere $7.99. This time, we are jumping ahead in the timeline, way ahead, rather than being a prequel like the second game was.
Thirty years after Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza closed it’s doors, the events that took place there have become nothing more than a rumor and a childhood memory, but the owners of “Fazbear’s Fright: The Horror Attraction” are determined to revive the legend and make the experience as authentic as possible for patrons, going to great lengths to find anything that might have survived decades of neglect and ruin.
At first there were only empty shells, a hand, a hook, an old paper-plate doll, but then a remarkable discovery was made…
The attraction now has one animatronic.
The creator of the game, Scott Cawthon, intentionally changed the game mechanics once again, which makes each game in the series unique. You no longer have to worry about running out of power, but you do have to worry about closing off the vents, which you will need to do in order to survive, but it will also cut off your oxygen supply and causing you to hallucinate. There are no doors or masks to hide behind now, so you must use this ventilation system and playing audio clips to keep the animatronic (and possibly other horrors) at bay.
