Well, we really thought we would be receiving a full Ghostbusters: Afterlife trailer this week but sadly we are going to have to wait a little longer. The good news is that we do have an official poster and a few images to share out of Vanity Fair. Also, in good news we will be posting the full trailer for Ghostbusters: Afterlife on Monday!
The images are all great and in one in particular you can almost see the torch being passed in the photo featuring Paul Rudd holding a trap. Added to all that Ghostbuster’s coolness is the poster that features Ecto-1 driving around in a very different landscape that the New York backdrop we are used to.
The film originally going around under the guise of ‘Ghostbuster 2020’ will be titled Ghostbusters: Afterlife instead, and will see the original cast returning to their roles. This of course, includes Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson. The film will also see the Ghostbusters pass the torch to a new generation that includes newcomer Paul Rudd.
The film will focus on a family who moves back home to a small town. While there, they begin to learn more about who they are and the secrets of the town itself.
Ivan Reitman’s son Jason Reitman will take over as director this time around and aims to bring back the classic Ghostbusters feel.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife busts ghosts in theaters July 10, 2020.
Check back Monday for a full trailer, but in the meantime let us know what you think about the images.
