We’ve been loving how creative horror movie revival screenings have become, and recent events likes Jaws on the water and Prince of Darkness in a church (the actual church the movie was filmed in!) caught our interest in a big way. Now, Return of the Living Dead finds new life on…. VHS?!
In celebration of the classic zombie-comedy’s 30th anniversary, Fangoria has partnered with the Mile High Horror Film Festival to present a special screening of Return of the Living Dead that will see the film exhibited on a VHS tape, which retains the original soundtrack that subsequent releases altered.
Following this unique screening, star Linnea Quigley (who of course played the memorably nude Trash) will be in attendance for a live Q&A session, moderated by Fangoria’s managing web editor Ken W. Hanley. An exclusive Return of the Living Dead poster will be available at the event, to be revealed soon.
The 2015 Mile High Horror Film Festival will be taking place October 1st through the 4th at Littleton, Colorado’s Alamo Drafthouse. For more information, and to purchase tickets, head over to Mile High’s official website. Scream Passes and festival memberships are currently up for grabs.
