Universal Pictures has just released an extended look at the new horror-comedy Freaky.
Starring Kathryn Newton and Vince Vaughn, Freaky explores what would happen if a serial killer switched bodies with an average high schooler systematically turning the “final girl” trope on its head.
Christopher Landon, the director behind the popular horror movie series Happy Death Day is taking a stab at body switch horror, and by the looks of the trailer, this one is going to be just as fun.
Here’s a synopsis followed by the extended look:
“Seventeen-year-old Millie Kessler (Kathryn Newton, Blockers, HBO’s Big Little Lies) is just trying to survive the bloodthirsty halls of Blissfield High and the cruelty of the popular crowd. But when she becomes the newest target of The Butcher (Vince Vaughn), her town’s infamous serial killer, her senior year becomes the least of her worries.”
