The Boggs family home featured in Edward Scissorhands has just hit the market!
Located at 1774 Tinsmith Circle in Lutz, Florida, an unincorporated CDP 15 miles north of Tampa. the home is listed at $224,000. Gone are its pastel colors featured in the movie, however. The suburban home is now a much more sedate grey.
The entire subdivision was featured in the 1990 Tim Burton film which featured Johnny Depp as Edward Scissorhands, a manufactured young man with scissors for hands who is taken in by a suburban housewife when she discovers him living all alone in a spooky house overlooking the neighborhood. It marked the first time Depp collaborated with Burton on a film.
Winona Ryder (Beetlejuice), Dianne Wiest (The Lost Boys), and Anthony Michael Hall (The Dead Zone) starred alongside Depp. The master of the macabre Vincent Price appeared in the film as well..
The 1432 foot square foot home features three bedrooms and two baths as well as a large backyard that fans of the film will remember from the big barbecue scene.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a piece of Tim Burton movie history, and it’s much more reasonably priced than a lot of homes we’ve seen on the market with similar backgrounds.
