‘Doom Eternal’ Receives First Badass Expansion With ‘The Ancient Gods Part One’

by Trey Hilburn III

The very kickass game with the very kickass soundtrack is back in a very kickass way. Bethesda’s Doom Eternal has returned with its first full single player campaign expansion, The Ancient Gods Part One.

The official synopsis for The Ancient Gods goes like this (pssst. Only read this if you have already finished the full campaign):

“After defeating the Khan Maykr and obliterating the reincarnated Icon of Sin, the DOOM Slayer’s fight is just getting started. Unleash your vengeance and face your greatest test as you march back to the Maykr’s realm. Defeat powerful new threats, restore order to the heavens and unearth the corruption that has thrown the universe into chaos. ”

It doesn’t take much for Doom to call me back into hell. I mean, just listen to that amazing score blasting throughout the trailer. That’s Composers David Levy and Andrew Hulshult‘s latest by the way.

If you already own the Deluxe edition of Doom Eternal or the Year One Pass than you already have this expansion. If you don’t then The Ancient Gods Part One is available as a separate purchase.

Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods is out now on Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows and Stadia.
