Well, it seems that 2020 and 2021 will be the years of the alternate universe. You see it almost everywhere these days. Most recently, the Spider-Man news that would see Jamie Foxx’s Electro and Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus placed gingerly into the Tom Holland run of films. That all has something to do with Wandvision and Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness. We like reporting on comic book news, not all of it is precisely horror but we love chatting comics with you guys. In the most recent Disney+ What If…? trailer, we got a look at a ton of cross overs and the arrival of Marvel Zombies.
The Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead) run of Marvel comics from 2005 was only a 5 issue series but that didn’t stop it from being pretty dang amazing and memorable.
The synopsis for the Marvel Zombies comics went like this:
“The story is set in an alternate universe where the world’s superhero population has been infected with a virus which turned them into zombies. The series was spun out of events of the crossover story-arc of Ultimate Fantastic Four, where the zombie Reed Richards tricked his Ultimate counterpart into opening a portal to the zombie universe only for the latter to contain the former from ever coming to his universe.”
