With a bit of Dino Crisis and Turok mixed in with some Left 4 Dead elements, System Reaction’s Second Extinction looks to bring dinos back to our shooters. If you ask me this is way overdue. Best, of all Second Extinction will join the line up of free games on Xbox Game Pass.
The synopsis provided for Second Extinction goes like this:
“Second Extinction pits teams of up to three players against swarms of bloodthirsty dinos in fast-paced battles across Earth’s post-apocalyptic wastelands. Squad up with a range of powerful weapons and fight on your own or with friends against monstrous dinosaurs long thought extinct — now mutated and deadlier than ever! The War Effort is Second Extinction’s community-driven global metagame: by completing missions and activities around the world, you’ll directly impact the threat level and challenges players face.”
Sounds like, it’s going to be a great time! I feel like we have been missing dinos in gaming for a little bit too long. Back in the early PS1 days we it seems that we had plenty of choices for our dino diet. I mean, who didn’t enjoy the heck out of playing Turok and Dino Crisis?
Second Extinction comes to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and the Microsoft Store for PC on April 28.
