If you keep an open ear to indie films, chances are you’ve been hearing rumblings about Turbo Kid (I always saw Jason Eisener posting about it on his Instagram). The film is set in the post-apocalyptic future of 1997 (gotta love that) and filled with all kinds of crazy lights, blood splattered gory effects, extreme BMX-ing, a killer synth soundtrack and plenty of other homages to everything that was totally awesome and reminiscent of the 80’s.

The film was written and directed by RKSS: Anouk Whissell, François Simard, and Yoann-Karl Whissell and stars Munro Chambers, Laurence Leboeuf, and Michael Ironside (yeah, you read that right). Not only do we have an official teaser trailer for you, but some gnarly clips as well!

In a post-apocalyptic future The Kid, an orphaned outcast, meets a mysterious girl. They become friends until Zeus, the sadistic leader of the Wasteland, kidnaps her. The Kid must face his fears and journey to rid the Wasteland of evil and save the girl.
