Hideo Kojima created a masterpiece with his sprawling, bizarre epic Death Stranding. Now Kojima sets his sights on his next title, one that will apparently be set in the horror genre.
If you recall, Kojima released a demo titled P.T. in 2014. The game was terrifying and to this day, despite it being a short demo, is still revealing surprises for eagle-eyed gamers. P.T. partnered Kojima with director Guillermo Del Toro and yielded one of the most notably scary gaming experiences that has come out in the past few years.
Kojima took to Twitter to announce that he will be doing homework in order to create his next game, which he says will be ‘the scariest horror game.’
As to make the scariest horror game, I’ll watch the scary movies in order to awaken my horror soul. The Eye is the Thai horror movie I rent when making PT but was too scary to finish watching. The package was scary so I rented the disc only. Will I be able to finish watching?
Sounds like Kojima has a weak spot for Thai horror. Can’t say I blame him, the elevator scene in The Eye is pretty frickin’ intense.
We can’t wait to see what Kojima has in store for us with his next title, which I’m sure is a long ways off from release. Similar to Norman Reedus starring in Death Stranding, we are hoping that this horror horror follow up might star Kojima’s friend Keanu Reeves.
Chime in Kojima fans! Excited to see him re-visit the horror genre? Let us know in the comments section.
