Until Dawn was a survival horror game the fans of the genre were waiting for. Essentially, you controlled the fate of eight survivors through multiple scenarios and playthroughs, filling it with enough jump scares and gore for any gamer. And it had Larry Fassenden, who is always awesome. Being the hit that the game was, you knew something else from creators Suppermassive games was going to come. Now with Playstation focusing on VR, especially for horror games, that time has come.
Doing some a little different and steering away from the multiple branching path story structure, Suppermassive Games will be releasing Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, which isn’t a sequel, prequel or anything like that, but more of a spin off. The game appears to be a rail shooter (think of House of the Dead and similar games) that takes place in an amusement park, a setting that never stops being creepy, as you try and survive by blasting your enemies away. Not much is known about the plot, but the preview in the video below shows that Until Dawn: Rush of Blood is designed with at VR experience in mind.
Until Dawn: Rush of Blood is an all-new game being created exclusively for PlayStation VR. It isn’t Until Dawn DLC, nor a sequel to Until Dawn…
We’re incredibly excited to be developing for PlayStation VR as this allows us to bring games to the PlayStation 4 with a level of immersion and a presence never before experienced by players.
As a descent into madness, Until Dawn: Rush of Blood takes you on a terrifying ride of thrills and scares in a fast-paced arcade-style shooter.
Prepare for Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, the (last?) ride of your life!
